Lawrence Fine Art

Name : Nicole Laemmle
Biography :

German-born Laemmle (b. 1970-) describes her work as a conversation with color--color in conversation with us and with color itself. Never loud, even as she employs vibrant combinations of color, Laemmle's work is sinuous and subtly feminine.  There is just the merest, sweetest hint of Georgia O'Keefe here. Her work also bears some resemblance to early Color Field master Morris Louis, and especially his Pillar, or Column, paintings.

Laemmle is one of the founders of the Governor's Island Art Fair in NYC.  She has exhibited frequently in Germany, at Monique Goldstrom Gallery in Soho, at Nexus Gallery and others.
