Lawrence Fine Art

Name : David Einstein
Biography :

California artist David Einstein's gestural absraction has a semiotic quality to it. It is a study of how meaning is created, not what is. Indeed, the artist calls himself "a mark maker," as much as a painter. His work is influenced by Japanese calligraphy as well as Hebrew script.

Einstein is a painter of note, and his work can be found in numerous museums and private collections, including the Crocker Museum, the Albright Knox Museum, Detroit Institute of Arts and others. He has had numerous solo and group shows. We currently have select works on offer.

We will exhibit "David Einstein: Raw Gestures" at the gallery, Summer 2015, as part of our "Summer of Abstraction" series.
